Rachel Sommers is a Math Tutor and Data Analytics Consultant with 15+ years of tutoring experience. She earned her B.S. in Mathematics and Economics from UCLA.  After university, she spent 3 years living abroad in China working in education and microfinance.  Currently, she works for a consulting company as a Senior Data Analyst. She leads teams across all stages of diverse technology and data analytics projects.  She helps perform data analytics as well as create data visualizations for clients to comprehend their data in a clean and concise way.

Rachel is extremely passionate about explaining mathematical concepts in ways that break down barriers most people encounter. In her spare time, she volunteers with an educational non-profit to provide math tutoring for low income families.  She also enjoys running, yoga, baking, speaking other languages and traveling around the world.
